Tracker Strengthens Data Portfolio To Focus On Market-Leading Dealer Solutions

LONDON, U.K. and IRVINE, CA – February 20th, 2020 – Stolen vehicle recovery and technology expert Tracker is amplifying its existing connected car presence in the automotive and insurance arenas by providing access to a greatly-enhanced product range. The move follows a period of transition for Tracker as it aligns its strategic ambition with that of its parent company, CalAmp® (Nasdaq: CAMP), the global connected technology expert which acquired the business in March 2019.

To celebrate its journey Tracker has launched a new identity that mirrors that of the internationally recognised CalAmp brand, supported by a new website and customer collateral.

Mark Rose, managing director for Tracker explains: “By working with CalAmp and adopting its globally-scaled, cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) telematics platform, we have been able to introduce new and innovative connectivity solutions.  These embrace driver behaviour data services and capabilities to support dealers beyond our unique stolen vehicle recovery (SVR) solutions for which we are well-known for our direct law enforcement integration.  This lays the foundations for Tracker to become one of the leading suppliers of telematics data services in the UK to both the automotive and insurance markets.”

Tracker continues to boast a longstanding exclusive relationship with every UK police force, with its VHF SVR devices fitted on over 2,000 police vehicles.  However, its new wider portfolio of dealer solutions, for example SmartDealer, will help dealers overcome regulatory challenges, such as Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements, manage inventory more efficiently and optimise aftersales growth.

London-based Auto Capital, one of UK's leading suppliers of commercial vehicles in the secondary market is amongst the first to partner with Tracker to benefit its business and its customers with in-van connectivity solutions and automated intelligence. An Auto Capital director explains: “Tracker has a strong reputation in the market as the leading connected vehicle technology expert. As a business, we aim to continually exceed our customers’ expectations by providing the best service, best value and convenient facilities, while operating with the highest level of honesty, integrity, responsibility and professionalism.”

Concludes Mark Rose: “Tracker’s renewed ambition provides an opportunity for dealerships to increase incremental revenues and customer retention by protecting stock and providing customers with true peace of mind. It can also reduce the heavy insurance premiums that dealerships face on demo stock, further helping them to protect their bottom line. Our exciting growth strategy will pay dividends not only for Tracker, but also our dealer customers.”
