V12 Sports and Classics partners with Tracker to safeguard customers against vehicle theft
Improving the ownership experience and boosting dealer revenue in a challenging market
V12 Sports and Classics, one of the UK’s fastest-growing used car supermarkets, has partnered with Tracker Network U.K. Limited to offer its customers the option of fitting a Stolen Vehicle Recovery (SVR) device to their used cars and vans for peace of mind.
This value-added proposition is targeted at driving outstanding customer service while serving as an effective sales revenue stream, with V12 Sports and Classics already reporting a 30% conversion rate.
The new partnership comes as DVLA figures show a car is being stolen every 8.5 minutes across the UK*. Farhad Tailor, Managing Director at V12 Sports and Classics, emphasises the importance of vehicle security saying, “We pride ourselves on treating our customers like trusted friends and family, and protecting them is as important as protecting our own business. With vehicle theft statistics remaining alarmingly high, the need to step up the security measures we offered our customers has become paramount.
“That’s why we switched to selling Tracker solutions. Its unique technology combined with its exclusive police partnership makes it a market leader with superior recovery rates and recovery times. We are already converting 30% of sales, and with Tracker’s support, we aim to increase this to half of all sales, helping fill revenue gaps a challenging market has thrown our way.”
Tracker utilises both VHF and GPS/GSM location technology, enabling a recovery rate of 95%, of which 80% are being recovered in 24 hours. This level of protection not only gives V12 Sports and Classic’s customers greater comfort but, as insurance premiums rise, could also see them benefit financially through a reduction in insurance premiums.
“The success of our partnership with Tracker extends beyond the SVR solution,” continues Farhad Tailor. “Tracker has provided comprehensive support throughout the adoption and rollout process, offering product training and development for our staff across all sites. Its proactive approach, including consistent progress updates, ensures our teams are well-equipped to help customers choose the best Tracker solution for their needs. Customer care doesn’t end when a vehicle drives off the forecourt. We are diligently contacting past customers to offer them the benefits of Tracker too, reinforcing our commitment to long-term customer satisfaction.
“In fact, our belief in the added protection we are providing to our customers in collaboration with Tracker, has also seen us proactively knock on the doors of our wider aftersales, finance and insurance partners, as well as retail peers, to encourage sector-wide adoption.”
Mark Rose, Managing Director of Tracker adds, “Without an SVR device fitted to their car, owners stand just a 23% chance of seeing their vehicle again. V12 Sports and Classics recognises this and by helping past, present and future customers protect their vehicles, they are improving the customer ownership experience, while benefitting from a lucrative new revenue stream.”
Tracker is the only SVR provider offering vehicle tracking systems that are supported nationwide by U.K. police forces. Tracker SVR solutions work like an electronic homing device. A covert transmitter is hidden in one of several dozen places around the vehicle. There is no visible aerial, so the thief won’t know it’s there. The combination of VHF with GPS/GSM technology, unique to Tracker, makes its units resistant to GPS/GSM jamming, which allows the stolen vehicle to be located even if stored underground, in a metal container, or if shipped to Europe.
