Tracker reduces cost of vehicle protection to help dealers safeguard their assets

In response to the increased risk of vehicle theft from forecourts during the Covid-19 lockdown, stolen vehicle recovery (SVR) and technology expert, Tracker, has relaunched its quickest and easiest to install dealer solution at a significantly reduced rate.

Whilst lockdown is at last easing and dealers are preparing to reopen their doors on 1st June, concerns remain strong that opportunistic thieves and organised crime gangs will continue to target premises at risk, such as dealerships.  Car thefts have increased 52% in the past six years[1], and just last week it was reported this that Tones Garage, an independent dealer in Hartlepool, had eleven cars stolen in an overnight raid. At the time of reporting, three premium vehicles had yet to be located[2], representing a significant loss to the dealer.

Tracker Assist Nano is a self-powered, match boxed sized device with a two-year battery life, which crucially, does not require expert installation and can be hidden anywhere in the vehicle. However, it still offers excellent vehicle location tracking capability to help protect vehicles.  Easily concealed within a vehicle, Tracker Assist Nano provides location information and in the event of theft, the police can be directed to the location of vehicle.

Mark Rose, Managing Director of Tracker commented: “These are very challenging times for everyone in the automotive industry, and although the road ahead is brighter, it remains uncertain.  This is why we’ve worked hard to provide a valuable self-install solution to help dealers protect their stock, removing at least one of the many concerns being faced today.

“While revenue has been significantly reduced due to the lockdown, we have sought to find a price point that works for all parties, without compromising the level of protection provided for dealers’ vital assets. Tracker Assist Nano is a low-cost solution, yet offers quality tracking, added security and invaluable peace of mind that in the event of a theft, the vehicle will be quickly recovered, safeguarding dealer assets and revenue.”
