Bailey Of Bristol And TRACKER Celebrate Crime Busting Partnership

Bailey of Bristol, one of the UK’s biggest manufacturer of leisure vehicles – touring cravans and motorhomes - extends its partnership with Tracker to fit stolen vehicle recovery (SVR) solutions in all new 2019 Pegasus Grande and a Tracker alarm to Phoenix retailer special models. Bailey of Bristol has been fitting market leading Tracker devices on Unicorn models since 2011; this partnership sees Bailey extend its ultimate confidence in Tracker’s unique VHF technology.

With over seventy years’ experience in leisure vehicle production and design, Bailey has become not only the UK’s favourite caravan brand, accounting for approximately one in three new caravan sales, but also one of the largest producers in Europe. In a move to bring true peace of mind against theft to more of its customers – whether they are touring in the UK or Europe – Bailey of Bristol continues to factory fit security solutions from Tracker.

Nick Howard, Managing Director of Bailey of Bristol says, “We have enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Tracker, fitting our flagship Unicorn caravans with its award-winning technology. Our customers value the reassurance “fitted with Tracker” offers them, which is why we are expanding our security solutions across all 2019 Pegasus Grande and Phoenix retailer special models. Now, more of our caravans than ever come with the best security available to help our customers protect their asset and close the net on caravan thieves.”

Bailey of Bristol caravan owners, Mr and Mrs Baker from Peterborough recently saw first-hand the difference Tracker’s stolen vehicle recovery system can make. Mrs Baker explained: “We were shocked to receive a call early one morning to say that our beloved Bailey Unicorn  had gone missing overnight. When we bought the caravan we knew it had a factory-fitted Tracker, but never dreamt we’d need to use it. The caravan is our second home, and knowing that someone had stolen it, along with a lot of our personal belongings, including many sentimental items, made us feel violated and vulnerable. If it wasn’t for the tracking unit, the theft would have cost us a great deal of money and caused us significant distress at the loss of the caravan and our sentimental items inside.  We are in no doubt that without Tracker’s help we would never have seen our caravan or our possessions again.”

Clive Wain, Head of Police Liaison at Tracker, comments, “In 2018 we saw caravan and leisure thefts go up, highlighting the need for owners to value quality security solutions. Our experience at Tracker shows that caravan and leisure vehicle thefts are largely committed by organised gangs who steal to order, often shipping them abroad to Europe or further afield.

“However, whilst thieves continue to adapt to developing technologies, our SVR innovations mean that we stay one step ahead, making a stolen caravan visible to the police, even if it’s hidden in a container, stored underground or shipped abroad. Now Bailey customers can drive their holiday home off the dealership forecourt confident it has the best security available from Tracker.”

As the only stolen vehicle recovery company to have invested in every UK police force, Tracker significantly increases the chances of a stolen caravan being located and returned to its rightful owner - as quickly as possible.
