The Hyundai i10 has been named the best new car buy of the year and best city car for 2014, in the latest awards given out by carbuyer.com, a car buying advice website.
The Korean manufacturer claimed the top spot as the judges praised the car's quality, style refinement and value - the latter down to the city car's reasonable price tag of £8,345.
Fellow Korean car maker Kia also claimed an award for its seven-year warranty, which celebrates the company's seven years producing vehicles.
BMW managed to rack up three different awards, with both the 3-series and 5-series winning the executive and larger car categories respectively. The innovative BMW i3 also picked up an award for the best electric/hybrid car.
According to telegraph.co.uk, other successful cars included the Seat Leon for the best family car, the Toyota GT-86 for the best coupe and the Skoda Octavia was named the best estate vehicle.
According to carbuyer.com, Steve Fowler, editor-in-chief of Carbuyer, said: "The new Hyundai i10 is a brilliant car, offering a real grown-up feel and plenty of space at an incredibly low price."
Mr Fowler said that the car was also incredibly fun to drive and cost-effective to own, the perfect car for inner-city dwellers.
