Will my TRACKER System work in Europe?
Answer: Depending on the type of TRACKER unit you have installed, it will provide partial or full European tracking coverage.

What is the Guard and Recover Service?
Answer: Once your vehicle has been located, TRACKER will arrange for a uniformed guard to stay with the vehicle until the recovery company arrives to pick it up and return it to you anywhere in mainland Great Britain. Terms and conditions apply.
Do you offer the Guard and Recover Service in Europe?
Answer: No. This service is only available in mainland Great Britain.
Will my vehicle require TRACKER identification stickers?
Answer: No. A major security feature of the system is that the presence of the TRACKER unit is not disclosed to the thief. In fact, identification stickers are an encouragement to thieves to damage the vehicle, as they may hurriedly attempt to locate the unit. For this reason we also strongly advise that you use your discretion when notifying others that your vehicle has TRACKER fitted.
What is VHF?
Answer: In response to new challenges in the stolen vehicle recovery industry TRACKER developed and implemented the use of Very High Frequency (VHF) location technology in all tracking units. This addresses the problem of signal jamming that can affect GPS and GSM systems to ensure jammers cannot disable TRACKER units.
VHF technology also aids location of concealed vehicles and is effective at finding even those hidden in shipping containers, lock-ups or underground car parks where GPS tracking can struggle.
The VHF technology is supported in 30 countries throughout the world and to date has been used to recover over 250,000 vehicles worth over $5 billion (USD).
What is GPS?
Answer: Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite navigation system providing location and time information anywhere where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. It is maintained by the United States government and is freely accessible to anyone with a GPS receiver.
What is GSM?
Answer: GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications, originally Groupe Spécial Mobile), is a standard set developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) to describe technologies for second generation (2G) digital cellular networks.
What is the TRACKER Mesh Network?
Answer: TRACKER Locate or TRACKER Plant fitted vehicles listen out for the reply codes being sent out by stolen SVR fitted vehicles. When the TRACKER Locate or TRACKER Plant unit passes a stolen vehicle, it picks up its reply code and sends the position to the TRACKER Control Room. Importantly, the driver of the listening vehicle will have no idea that their car has helped identify a stolen vehicle, and equally, the driver of the stolen vehicle won’t know they are being tracked either.
