Stolen vehicle recovery (SVR) expert, Tracker, is strengthening its capabilities with the appointment of Clive Wain as Head of Police Liaison.  Bringing over 30 years of service in the police and a successful career as a Detective, Clive’s knowledge of organised crime and leading investigation teams for South Yorkshire Police brings invaluable insight to the Tracker team.
 
Clive joins Tracker having spent 22 years working within South Yorkshire Police, achieving the role of Detective Chief Inspector, before transferring to West Yorkshire Police in 2009 as Detective Superintendent.   During his time as a Detective, Clive also acted as Crime Manager in Sheffield, where he managed and significantly reduced serious acquisitive crime, including burglary, robbery and vehicle crime.  Throughout his career he has led covert investigation teams tackling serious and organised crime.
 
Clive ultimately became Detective Chief Superintendent, Regional Commander for Organised Criminality for Yorkshire and Humberside, where he developed and drove covert investigative teams in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies. At this rank he also headed up the internal professional standards department and force information management unit, later becoming the Head of Counter Terrorism Policing for the seven counties making up the North East of England Region.
 
Clive says of his new role, “This is an exciting step in my career, as it harnesses decades of experience gained in the police force to assist Tracker in tackling the problem of vehicle crime. Tracker understands the connection between vehicle crime and organised criminal networks and I will be able to utilise my expertise in this area, as well as help us build on already successful partnerships with UK police forces.”
