TRACKER has joined forces with Red Forge, the market leader in On-Board Weighing systems to enhance the benefits of award winning TRACKER Fleet. Under the new agreement, TRACKER is incorporating Red Forge technology to provide optional weight alerts to customers of TRACKER Fleet Plus, TRACKER’s advanced functionality telematics offering, helping them meet legal requirements and reduce vehicle damage.
Overloading can be a serious safety issue for fleet operators, leading to potential fines and penalties and it can also add wear and tear to vehicles. Red Forge is the leading name in the field of Axle Load Indication and On-Board Weighing systems, providing simple overload protection for Light Commercial Vehicles and Heavy Goods Vehicles, through to highly accurate ‘pay-by-weight’ solutions.
Phil Bridge, Sales Manager of Red Forge comments, “Red Forge brings to TRACKER the best overload protection and axle load indication technology on the market today.
By joining forces we are delivering to TRACKER customers - who need to be able
to operate safe in the knowledge that they are protecting their staff and their vehicles - vital weight information and alerts which will reduce the risk of fines and penalties and increase overall efficiency. This is also an opportunity for us to bring our own customers TRACKER’s market leading telematics solution, enhancing our own fleet offering.”
How Red Forge and TRACKER fleet technologies are working together
Red Forge’s simple to use Axle Load Indicator has been designed to provide the driver of a vehicle with information to help prevent exceeding their legal weight limit. Working closely with Red Forge, TRACKER’s systems now transfer the vehicle overload data back to the fleet manager via the TRACKER Fleet Plus system. Staff receive an SMS or on screen alert, helping businesses stay in control of their fleet.
TRACKER Fleet and TRACKER Fleet Plus use unique technology to more accurately detect a driver’s idling time – critical for fleet managers. It also plans routes to reduce fuel costs and CO2 emissions, verifies timesheets and delivery schedules to support customer service standards, identifies traffic problems to improve journey planning and alerts fleet managers to service and maintenance requirements.
In addition, it’s ‘
Driving Style’ module enables managers to review the overall driving style of their fleet, as well evaluate individual driving behaviour, mapping historical trends. This allows fleet managers to recognize and reward improvement or offer driver training, as appropriate, helping them improve driver efficiency and safety. All of this information is delivered in a reporting suite can be tailored to the needs of each customer, helping to reduce costs.
Stephen Doran, Managing Director of TRACKER says, “This partnership with Red Forge is the latest in our continued investment in the quality of our fleet telematics solutions, bringing vital on-board weighing capabilities to improve business practices. Yet again, by understanding the needs of our customers, TRACKER has embraced new technology to bring real benefits.”
