Fleet telematics expert, TRACKER has joined forces with Towergate Insurance. Under the new agreement, TRACKER is providing black box telematics to encourage Towergate’s corporate fleet customers to drive safely, in turn reducing risk and potentially lowering their commercial insurance premiums.
Towergate is the largest, independently owned insurance intermediary in Europe, with over 30 years’ expertise in the transportation sector. Through the new partnership, Towergate will integrate TRACKER Fleet, into its Fleetcare+ risk management programme. This will allow its customers to improve their fleet operations by reducing costs and effectively manage risk, with the ultimate aim to reduce their insurance premiums. The Fleetcare+ product gives Towergate customers the ability to monitor daily mileage, journey status, speed limits and layers of information about the vehicle and driver behaviour.
“Telematics is the future of commercial motor insurance and our partnership with TRACKER ensures we continue to lead the way,” says Larry Smith Divisional Managing Director of Towergate Insurance – Motor Division. “TRACKER Fleet allows our customers to proactively manage their risk and reduce costs. It also gives us the opportunity to stop the insurance loss before it occurs. By improving safety, our customers benefit from a more efficient fleet, as well as the potential for reduced insurance premiums.”
Stephen Doran, Managing Director for TRACKER, explains. “Our flexible reporting capabilities mean that TRACKER Fleet has the ability to tailor the needs of every Towergate customer to deliver cost-savings and improve fleet efficiency and safety. In addition, our unique technology offers a depth of data and driver performance information, helping Towergate improve customer care and reduce insurance loss. This contract demonstrates the value we can bring to the commercial motor insurance industry, using TRACKER’s telematics capabilities to help them deliver added value to their customers.”
