TRACKER technology assists Warwickshire Police in returning BMW X5 worth £35,000 to its owner.
With the help of the Warwickshire Police and the UK’s leading stolen vehicle recovery (SVR) expert, TRACKER, a BMW X5 was located and returned to its rightful owner after being stolen from a car park in Birmingham.
Ray Blackler, the owner of the stolen BMW X5 returned from holiday to find his prized possession missing from the car park. Once realisation struck that he had been a victim of vehicle theft, Ray quickly activated his TRACKER device. The recovery of the vehicle in just 12 hours demonstrates TRACKER’s unique partnership with the police and reinforces the value and effectiveness of its powerful, award-winning technology.
Ray Blackler said, “When I realised the car had been stolen, I was really angry and immediately called the police to activate my TRACKER unit. A few hours later I received a call with news that my vehicle had been found. I was delighted to hear that my car had been located; whilst I mainly use my van day-to-day because of work, my BMW X5 is a valued possession and brings some much appreciated luxury to my life.
“Shortly after the incident, I was shown CCTV footage taken by the car park’s security system. It had captured a vehicle waiting to exit at the barriers, and before you knew it, within seconds mine shot out behind it. The whole experience has been dreadful, but at least because I had the TRACKER unit fitted I got my pride and joy back and I didn’t have to make a theft claim with my insurer, which would have made future premiums go up.”
“The loss of a vehicle can be a traumatic experience for anyone, effecting day to day life and not to forget the financial implications it may have,” says Stephen Doran, Managing Director of TRACKER. “Fitting a TRACKER device can not only significantly increase the chances of a vehicle being swiftly recovered, but it gives vehicle owner’s much needed peace of mind.”
