Police have warned residents in Crowle to be vigilant with their car safety after a number of vehicle thefts in the area, according to onepagenews.co.uk.
Three separate incidents of cars being stolen from driveways have occurred recently, which has left police in the area on high alert. The first of these thefts happened on September 20th, between 7:10 and 12:20pm. A red Vauxhall Astra was stolen from Lindsey Drive on this occasion.
Two incidents also took place between October 1st and October 3rd. The first was the theft of a white Vauxhall Astra which was stolen from Elizabeth Close, where thieves actually entered the driver's home to steal the keys to the vehicle. The second was a thief who tried to enter the property of a house at Eastoft Road, however the offender was disturbed by the occupants.
As well as ensuring that cars are safely locked, residents in the area may also want to make sure no valuables are left in their car and that their keys are on them at all time.
Anyone who has any more information on the thefts, or who has had their own car stolen in the area has been urged to contact local police, according to scunthorpetelegraph.co.uk.
