Ford has confirmed that its latest Mustang vehicle will be available in the UK from 2014.
Launched in 1964, the muscle car is in its sixth generation but has never been sold officially in Britain.
Now, with Ford set to celebrate 50 years in production for one of its most iconic vehicles, the manufacturer has decided to build a right-hand drive version and put it on sale across a number of key European markets.
Few details have been shared about what the new Mustang might look like and how it will perform, although recombu.com fully expects the new model to follow in the footsteps of its predecessors by holding a powerful V8 engine.
Ford is reportedly looking to generate interest from a new, younger audience, which could see the car ditch its retro look in favour of something a little more contemporary.
"The only thing 'retro' about it are the proportions - long hood, short deck," an insider from the manufacturer told insidelinemagazine.co.uk.
Reports point to a 2014 release for the Mustang in America with European markets receiving the car a little later.
Either way, UK buyers won't have to wait too long to find out this and much more, as full details of the vehicle will be revealed on December 5 at a special event in Barcelona.
