Massey Ferguson has announced the latest tractor series will launch the most powerful tractors it has ever built.

The new MP 8700 series will launch in November at the Agritechnica Show and will include five new models, reports farminguk.com.

All the models feature the most advanced AGCO POWER six cylinder 8.4 litre engines, which improve the machines transmission, cab and controls, reports farmbusiness.cc. As a result, these new machines will be more energy efficient, will perform better and will be easier to use.

For many, the appeal of these agricultural vehicles is that all the technology is stored inside the tractor - there are no external filters or parts, meaning the tractor looks good and retains great visibility from the front and sides. In accordance to previous models, they will still require no maintenance too.

Brand development manager, Campbell Scott, said: "Fuel economy, reliability and simplicity are the most important considerations for farmers looking for a tractor in this power sector. The new MF 8700 Series delivers even better performance and economy than the well proven, award-winning MF 8600 Series."

The previous series, the MF 8600 Series, has previously won awards in technical innovations. The 8700 Series hopes to build upon its success.
