Gary Lineker is using Twitter to help recover his mum's stolen car, but it's not been found yet.
The 'Match of the Day' presenter sent out a series of tweets offering a reward for the recovery of the car on Friday - and the messages soon went viral.
According to msn.com, the first message read: "Some rotter has stolen my mum's car after dialysis in Leicester. Silver/grey Corsa EX09TXE. I'll reward any help with return. RT please."
At the time of publishing, the message had been retweeted 16,891 times. Metro.co.uk reports that a number of celebrities with vast Twitter followings retweeted the message, meaning that it is likely to have been seen by millions of people.
Lineker soon added another message which read: "A lot of her personal possessions were in the car as she's moving home. Poor women is heartbroken (sic)".
The former England striker, who is very active on Twitter and has almost two million followers, made sure to thank everyone who took the time to share his message and urged them to call the police with any information they may have.
His last public correspondence on the issue came on Saturday when he tweeted a short message stating that the car had still not been found.
