The Ford Focus has topped a list of the greatest cars of the past 25 years, according to telegraph.co.uk.
The Lancia Delta Integrale slipped into second place, with supercars including the McLaren F1 and Bugatti Veyron also making the top ten.
Those considering a purchase of one of the cars from the list may be wise to invest in car tracking software, given the huge price tags associated with some of the vehicles.
The Veyron fetches around £840,000, while people will pay anything up to £2 million for a coveted McLaren F1.
Dailystar.co.uk reported that the list was formed after a survey by Auto Express magazine to celebrate its 25th anniversary. People listed what they viewed to be the greatest cars of the period.
Auto Express news editor, Jack Rix said: "When the Focus was introduced, it didn't just improve on the stodgy looks and driving dynamics of the Escort.
"It redefined what customers should expect from an affordable hatchback. Even today, it is a very comfortable car."
The Volkswagen Golf Mk7 was the only other family hatchback to make the top five, with supercars generally dominating the list.
Potentially a surprise for some was that the Rover Mini Cooper nabbed tenth place in the list, while the newer Mini didn't make the cut, despite being hugely popular on the roads.
