Elizabeth Hurley reported her car as stolen last week, according to dailymail.co.uk. The black Audi saloon went missing when Ms Hurley was shopping in London's Mayfair.
The car was later found, apparently in the same spot, with several parking tickets attached to the windscreen. The actress could have benefited from having a car tracker fitted to her vehicle to help her find the car, saving herself the time of calling the police.
She is rumoured to have forgotten where she parked the car and thought it had been stolen when she couldn't find it. According to entertainmentwise.com, Ms Hurley was seen laughing and looking embarrassed before she and a friend collected the parking tickets and drove away.
Local shop staff said they saw her park up last week, in an area she visits frequently, looking disoriented and slightly lost. She apparently parked and walked one way down the street, then turned around and walked back up in the opposite direction.
The car was parked in a zone that only allows parking for a maximum of four hours, explaining the reason for the parking tickets, which are rumoured to total £240.
The police reportedly told The Sun newspaper: "There have been no arrests and our enquiries continue."
