Around 5,000 visitors are expected to be in attendance at the annual Cottingham Parks Lodge and Caravan Show this weekend, onenewspage.co.uk reports.
The show, which is now in its 11th year, will see caravanning aficionados descend on Cottingham Parks Golf and Leisure Club near Hull over both Saturday and Sunday. They will be greeted by a display of some of the newest models hitting the market, whilst children will have a whole day's entertainment on offer to keep them busy throughout.
Whilst visitors won't be arriving until Saturday, preparations are well underway for the event, with many display models having already arrived and pitched up at the site. It's not just static caravans being showcased, however, but holiday homes, lodges, tourers and camping pods. Vehicles are also accounted for, with the latest towing specialists and four-wheel drive models set for display.
Some of the latest - and most sought-after models - will be out on display, meaning that any buyers may not want to just spend out a new holiday home but also some caravan security devices to keep their new, expensive purchase as safe as possible.
Speaking to thisishullandeastriding.co.uk of the ongoing preparations, director of Cottingham Parks Golf and Leisure Club, Jane Wiles, explained: "Many of the static caravans have started arriving and the showground is being set up.
"It's an exciting time seeing it all take shape after several months of planning. We have more than 20 caravan and camping exhibitors this year and we're confident it will be a great day out for families."
The site will be open to domestic visitors on the Saturday and Sunday, between 9am and 5pm, before the event is opened up to trade between Tuesday and Thursday.
